[Produce] Shichi-Go-San Family Portraits | A Modern Way for Families to Celebrate in Meisen Kimono

I have had the pleasure of producing a family photoshoot for Shichi-Go-San.

For this important milestone, I proposed a styling that respects tradition while allowing the family to enjoy it through a modern sensibility.

The Main Star: A New Shichi-Go-San Style Featuring Meisen Kimono × Tulle

For the young lady who is the star of this session, I proposed a modern look layering an Isesaki Meisen kimono with a tulle top.

By combining the beauty of traditional patterns with the light, airy texture of tulle, I achieved a look that balances the festive elegance expected of Shichi-Go-San with a contemporary cuteness.

A Cohesive Style for the Whole Family

I also focused on the coordination of the entire family, creating a unified world-view while bringing out each person's individuality.

Father

A hakama style featuring a tsumugi kimono ensemble, finished with boots at the feet. This creates an outfit that blends classic elements with just the right amount of casualness.
Originality was added with an embroidered family crest.

Mother

I combined an existing kimono with heeled boots for a modern balance. Furthermore, by incorporating a red beret that links to her daughter's outfit, I created a sense of unity for the family.

Daughter

In addition to the Meisen kimono and tulle top, I added a beret as an accent. It finished as an impressive look that colors a very special day.
