Isesaki Meisen Art Panel "Flowers and Stripes" | One-of-a-kind

Bringing the beauty of a century ago into modern living.

"Isesaki Meisen," a fabric that took the world by storm about 100 years ago in Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture.

We have carefully unpicked Meisen kimonos—once beloved by women for their bold colors and free-spirited patterns—and crafted art panels by capturing their most beautiful segments.

Rather than keeping these kimonos tucked away after their life as garments has ended, we have repurposed them so they can be enjoyed once again in modern life.

Even within a single kimono, each cut offers a different expression.
From flowers and geometric shapes to landscapes and abstract motifs, you can enjoy these surprisingly modern designs—hard to believe they are 100 years old—as if choosing a painting.

One-of-a-kind art

Because we use vintage Isesaki Meisen, every piece is unique.

Even when crafted from the same kimono, the placement of the pattern and the arrangement of colors differ in every piece.

Whether in your entryway, living room, bedroom, or workspace, these panels add a splash of color to any space, whether hung on a wall or leaned against a shelf or piece of furniture.

They are perfect as gifts for loved ones, celebrations for new homes or business openings, or for anyone with a connection to Gunma.

A new choice: "Decorate with culture."

Even in an age where we have fewer opportunities to wear kimonos, their beauty can still live on in our daily lives.

Carrying designs born 100 years ago into the next 100 years.

Ay re-edits Isesaki Meisen to suit modern lifestyles, connecting it to the next generation.
